Environmental Geochemistry
Environmental Geochemistry is the study of the distribution of chemical elements and isotopes at the Earth's surface, and the relationships between the concentrations of these elements and isotopes in rocks, soils, water, the atmosphere, and living matter. It is concerned both with measuring chemical compositions of surface materials and interpreting chemical variations in terms of natural processes and human activity.
